ZION's Google Summer of Code 2009 History

The aim of this page is describe the hole process of ZION development at GSoC 2009. Design choices, GUI proposals and Zion's backend usage are examples of tasks will be discussed here. Each topic will be separated by date (most recent first) above. Comments out of post's date will be added to "Comments" section of each topic. To avoid future problems just typos or minor changes will be directly made on posts content.

This is the first proposal of Zion main interface. On this post I will only task about how users will be able to use Zion detection capabilities through Zion's GUI. Similar to Umit GUI users can type target and select the kind of operation. The Results tab will show the detection progress while scan not finish. Some kind of information like statistical mean and variance can be shown while scanning depending on its usefulness. When detection finishes the results will be shown to the user. Probably, the Results tab content vary according type of Detect chosen.

The Time Series tab will show a plot of the TCP ISN samples.
